Show Your Cat You Care With Hartz!
One little part of my family that I do not mention too often, but drives me crazy on a daily basis…my kittens!! Okay, so they are not really kittens anymore. My oldest, Kitters (I know, such an original name), is about 3 years old now, but still acts like a little kitten. Then you have Smokie, who is about 11 months old, and just loves to torture and attack Kitters whenever she can.
Both of these cats just LOVE attention and are always fighting for it. Plus when one has a toy, the other has to have it, just like children!
Hartz was nice enough to send me a “care” package for these two little cute headaches, which included a good number of products my cats would love.
First up you have Hartz Topical Flea & Tick Prevention. It is that time of year that the fleas are coming back out and will be looking for that yummy skin to attach to. This is one gift that my cats are not a fan of, but if they only realized what it was preventing, they would be more than happy. It is very easy to use this product, take it out of the packaging, turn the tip, press down while doing so, and you are ready to place it on your cat. Very simple! No scissors required like some.
Along with the flea treatment, I was sent the Hartz® UltraGuard Plus Flea & Tick Spray for Cats. I think this is great for cats you cannot really hold, or if you are trying to kill an active flea or tick problem. Spray the problem head on. My cats are not a huge fan of spray bottles, so I will be holding on to this in case it is needed in the future with any breakouts.
One set of items they really loved, and of course they both had to have the same one….. Some “Just Cats” toys for them to play with.
You have the Bell Mouse, which Smokie was a fan of, she kept trying to run off with the toy. I really enjoy the colors of the “mouse”, it stands out so much more compared to their other toys.
I also received the Roll About Mouse, which is filled with catnip, so you know this was a hit with my cats. Smokie was the biggest fan of this one also. As you can see somewhat in the third picture, her little face shows she did not want anyone near her new toy.
The last toy that these kittens received, which they both could not leave alone, “Twirl and Whirl“. This one consists of a “wand” which has a long ribbon connected to it, and on the end is a catnip filled feather-mouse. Walking around the house with this behind you is a great way to keep them occupied for a while. When I laid this down on the floor, Smokie grabbed the mouse and ran off with the whole stick. Of course Kitters favorite toys are also mice, so she had to follow along. (Ignore the mess in pictures)
One thing that all cats need..litter!! Hartz was nice enough to send me some Light Weight Tight, Firm Clumping Litter, which I am always in need of in my household. I currently use Tidy Cats Multi Cat Litter, so I was curious to see how this would compare. I have been wanting to try out lightweight for a while also, so this was great.
When placing it in my litter box, the first thing I noticed…there was NO dust flying through the air, this is a huge plus. My current litter does not have much, but just a little annoys me. After letting my cats use the litter box for a day, I went to clean it out, all clumps were tightly together, none fell apart while scooping, awesome! This litter has larger granules compared to my current brand, which I think helps in making it lightweight, and staying clumped together. In the end, very happy with this Light Weight Tight, Firm Clumping Litter.
One last treat for the cats…Delectables! I have never heard of these before receiving them, but knew my cats would love them. I normally do not feed my cats wet food on a regular basis, it is more of an every now and then treat after they are good (getting nails cut, flea treatment, bath, etc). So this was a special night for them…
Each cat got one pouch, on their own plate (since they cannot share), and started eating as soon as it was placed on the floor. When they were done, there was nothing left on the plates, they licked them clean. I would say that both of them were VERY happy with their new Delectables!
I really like that there are different varieties, including stew and bisque, with multiple flavors for each. They even have a Bisque version for senior cats, which I think is pretty cool that they think of their individual needs.
I am very thankful I got to try out all these awesome products for my cats, and I can guarantee they are very happy also with all the new goodies. I was very pleased with each one of the items I received and you should give Hartz a chance also!
