Put a New Spin on Breakfast With The Target Breakfast Twist Project!

Disclosure: General Mills provided me with the free products below and information.

What is the most important meal of the day? We all know that would be breakfast. One issue that some of us have is how rushed out breakfasts can be, we just don’t get time to eat at home and have to eat on the go. Another issue some families have is that the kids get tired of the same old breakfast.

Target has put a spin on breakfast with the Breakfast Twist Project which helps you come up with a new but quick easy breakfast ideas to help your family out.

In order to help me try and think of some new simple twists on the traditional breakfast I was sent:
•1 pouch Nature Valley® Protein Granola

•1 box Nature Valley® Granola Bars
•1 box Honey Nut Cheerios® Medley Crunch™ cereal
•1 box Trix® cereal
•1 package Quaker® Oats
•1 jar Jif® peanut butter
•1 package Nutella® mini cups
•1 pouch Grandma Hoerner’s® Big Slice™ apples snack
When it comes to creativity that is one area that I seem to lack, but I tried to come up with quick and easy ideas for you to try out yourself or with your children…
The first thing I came up with was peanut butter medley crunch Nature Valley granola bars.
  • Start with the Nature Valley Bar
  • Spread the peanut butter on top
  • Crunch up the Honey Nut Cheerios Medley Crunch on top
and your done…takes about a minute or less.

Next is the Nutella covered strawberry with Nature Valley Protein Granola

  • Coat the strawberry in Nutella
  • Add the granola
and your done in about 30 seconds!
Both of these ideas are quick and very easy to do, so give them a try, or you can check out Target.com/BreakfastTwist for even more inspirations on a new breakfast idea.
